Write It Down

A few days, right after I got back in church, God spoke to me to “write it down”. As I mentioned prior, just the bits, the miracles He was bestowing on me. Not like a journal or diary, just the key information.

It didn’t make sense to me. I knew what GOD had done and that was enough for me. I was giving God all the credit. I didn’t need to write it down to remember I got a miracle from Him. Still I did as I was told. I also took every opportunity presented, to tell every person of the INCREDIABLE miracles.

It is such a feeling that is difficult to describe. That God knows who I am and that I have a specific need. As with each of my miracles, I didn’t ask God for them. That is what surprised me even more. I was expecting nothing and blown off my feet each time to have been given a miracle. One miracle in a lifetime would be PHENOMENAL, but He didn’t stop there.

In my heart and mind, it feels like it just can’t compute. It doesn’t make sense, why would God give so many miracles to just one person? This is something that I grapple with, I don’t understand, and have no words to explain. However, I will not question God. The more God keeps giving me the more humble I become. I told God with the first miracle, that I didn’t want to act all high and mighty. I had done nothing to deserve it and certainly never expected it.

He owed me nothing!

I was the one who put my life and health in the conditions they were in. God needed to do nothing for me, in order for me to serve Him all the rest of my days, to the VERY BEST of my ability! I had already purposed in my heart, from that first day, September 20, 2009, I would SERVE HIM. I would not back down.

Even still, my best in not good enough! That is all God ask of us is our best. Not according to God, but to me. God deserves so MUCH MORE!!! I am finding that I am truly trying to step up my game and push myself. I spend a large portion of everyday praying and I have been able to read the Bible several times thus far. The other key ingredient is fasting. I can’t say enough about it, as I personally learned that is the best way to really get a hold of God.

Prayer & fasting

“And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:”  Daniel 9:3

There are many people in this world, and they have loads of issues, but God has seen fit to pour out so MUCH on just one little person – me. God is NOT ready to stop there. He is looking for that vessel and He WILL fill it up to overflowing, just like HE did for me!

Will you also be that vessel God is looking for?

If you are going to advance with God you have to be obedient, you have to do what God tells you to do. Obedience is the key!  IF you are going to advance, it requires you to move with what the spirit of God has spoken to your heart.

People get weird when they hear “God told me to” How do you know what God told you to do?  The answer is actually quite simple – does it line up with His word. God will never tell you to do anything that does not line up with the Bible; His scriptures are His word.  IF it is from God, it will line up with his word.

Obedience - The Lord calls His flock

“And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”  John 10:4-5

You do what God tells you to do even when it doesn’t make sense. We have a way of trying to analyze and figure it all out, but that is not God’s way. He wants us to be obedient and do what He tells us to do. It is not ours to try, and figure it out. We cannot make it work, but God in His infinite wisdom has already done all the figuring for us, we just have to be willing.

The same as it made no sense for me to write down what God had done for me; He was setting me up for success. I would have no way of knowing the little bits of information I would later write would turn into a book from God. I chose Obedience, WOW I am thankful I did!

There have also been other things God has dealt with me to do. Even if nothing ever becomes of them, it was a lesson in obedience, and I can say I did them all. I have found you never know with God what something can turn into.

Noah’s Ark

“Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.”  Genesis 6:14

“And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.”  Genesis 7:5

Moses strikes the rock in desert

“Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.” Numbers 20:8-9

Walls of Jerico

“And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.”  Joshua 6:3-5

Obedience is better than sacrifice

“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”  I Samuel 15:22

Dip 7 times & be cleansed

“Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”  II Kings 5:14

God gives us a promise that:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”  Revelation 3:5

You always have your Pastor to turn to when you need assistance. That is what God put them there for.

Discernment

“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?”  1 Kings 3:9

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”  Jeremiah 3:15

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”   Ephesians 4:11-12

Everything that is of God will have a positive feel to it.  Like happiness, love, joy, peace, contentment.

satan leaves you with the negative feelings of sad, fear, despair, gloom.

You will never go wrong being obedient to God!
