So Many Souls

Almost immediately after having received the Holy Ghost, I hadn’t come off that INCREDIBLE HIGH that comes from God, when I began to realize there is so many souls that NEEDED God. My heart ached for HOW was I going to help them? How were they going to see, know, and understand that God is coming back soon. And, they have GOT to stop playing around and get in church? I began to start making a list and praying for those I knew. But the desire was not to be diminished. I was also praying for those I didn’t know. No, I am not a saint; I just could not seam to control the burn that was deep in my soul. Just like Jeremiah felt when GOD touched his tongue and filled him with HIS Spirit. To go tell others what GOD had done and is going to do. I had never experienced anything like this before. I never knew what it was like to have such a passion for SO MANY. And I didn’t even know them.  Because satan had me all those years, I was desirous to turn the tables and to let as many as could possibly know all that was bubbling over inside of me.

Desire to have others saved

“I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.”  Psalms 22:22

“But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Jeremiah 1:7-9

I now had my sights set on all those souls, ones I knew as well as those I didn’t. I wanted as many as possible to know and taste of His sweet love. The desire was burning inside me, and I had to find a way to make it possible. One of the many beauties of God is He knows the desires of the heart and will give them to you.

Desires of the heart

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”  Psalms 37:4

The devil can’t do anything with a made up mind!

Made up mind against satan

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  James 4:7

I no longer had to live with the knowledge that I would burn in hell for all of eternity.  There was hope again for me.  But that was not good enough. It was about all the souls for God!

I see this as being in the middle of the ocean on a sinking ship. After having been saved from drowning; you HAVE to help save everyone else. I alone making it to safety was not good enough!

“And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” Acts 2:40

I was so grateful for my safety. The humility was indescribable.  To this very day, God keeps pouring out so very much. I WANT to keep that spirit of humble, meek, and unimportance. The lower I can shove my spirit down the higher God’s soars.

Humble, meek

“Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 18:4

“And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” Matthew 23:12

Die daily

“I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.”  I Corinthians 15:31

God has given me many opportunities to talk to others and witness to about Him and I have taken every one of them.  Many I don’t know and may never see again, but I want to plant the seed in their heart. I want to do all I can with the time I do have.  You do have to give up a little of your time when stopping to tell someone about Jesus, but once again our time is the least that we can give. The souls are what are important to God; it should be just as important to us.

Joyous to do His work

“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”  Psalms 40:8

There are some many countless wonders of God; His limits are only what we choose to make them. I was to discover that myself personally while in prayer one day, He reveled some things to me.  Later I thought about it and I pondered over what I could do. I quickly realized it was over my head and knowing that God is the only answer I began to pray again to God and asked if it was possible to give me some of their burden.

Sometime would pass, then one day as I raised my head off the pillow God let me know that He was answering my prayer.  He reminded me of what I had prayed and He let me know what I was feeling was a direct result of that much earlier prayer.

That prayer had been like so many of my prayers to God, a private prayer. NO words were uttered. No one but God knew my prayer, I made sure of it. I was not allowing satan to have any ammo.  For me, the less I can give him the better I have aided in tying his hands.

For me it is all about the souls and that desire just keeps on burning inside me. I am thankful God has allowed me to have that passion, to want to be able to reach souls for His kingdom.  How terrible it would be not to want to reach all we can. There are those that have the ability to reach souls that others can not.  While each soul is unique, sometimes God sends just that special person to touch that individual everyone else has given up on or can’t seem to reach. We all have that something special given us by God to be able to reach that soul, we just have to keep that hunger, that drive, all for His Glory.  For He is SO WORTHY!!!

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” I Corinthians 12:7-12

Oh, and for those that say to give me part of someone else’s burden is not in the Bible, which is what I prayed for, I will tell you, you are right. I have never found anything in the Bible related to that, but that is where people tend to place their own limits on God. After doing more research, Bill was able to find one verse that deals with other peoples burdens.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

I made the decision not to place the limits on the all mighty powers of God.  After all, no one makes God do anything. It was His to do as He saw fit.  I merely asked. You can never out give God. The more I give Him the MORE He gives me back. He is a mighty, awesome God! I love Him so Very much; He just leaves me speechless!

Before I got back into church, Bill was number one in my life and who I put first most of the time. But once GOD filled me up with the Holy Ghost again, God became FIRST on my priorities. Bill, our children, and grand-children became second. Everyone and everything else became last. Jesus was once asked, what was the greatest commandment? His reply was a condensed version of the main TEN COMMANDMENTS that He gave to the Israelites in the desert before their 40 year diversion.

GOD First

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9

“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:35-40

“And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Mark 12:28-33

It is all about SAVING as MANY as WE CAN and WE WILL!!!!  After all we HAVE GOD!!!
